Adding a server
The steps below will demonstrate how to add a new server to your account:
Click on the "Add Server" button and select the type of server you would like to provision from the drop down menu that appears. Note that all types of servers can be provisioned or ordered this way. Most virtual servers will be provisioned automatically, but physical hardware will be arranged by our team. Pricing options for the type of server you have selected are displayed later in the process.
On the following page, select the location where you would like your new server to be provisioned.
At present there are two locations. The primary facility is in Auckland City (NZ), with the secondary facility located in Auckland's North Shore (NZ). If you're unsure which location to select, choose the Auckland City location.
Enter a label to help you identify your new server and select a plan:
Select an image (operating system) and specify your preference for the IP addresses you would like to have assigned to this server:
Select whether or not you would like automated backups to be made of your server.
We suggest leaving this ticked unless you are doing all backups yourself. Trust us, this will likely save you a lot of time and pain in the long run.
Click the "Add Server" button to begin provisioning your new server:
On the following page, your server's provisioning progress will be presented in the server header:
